What the picture shows

The saint is shown to the waist, with a fair beard and wavy hair. The blue tunic is worked in beads of two tones, with a red cloak falling from his right shoulder over it. His right hand is raised to his chest, palm outward; his left holds a pale cloth gathered in folds. The halo is a double ring of dark and amber beads and the ground is golden rays. At the bottom there is a pale plaque set in a gold frame, with two squares of red-and-gold bead ornament on either side of it. Beads cover the clothing, the halo and the border, the face and hands stay printed, and gold print shows between the bead rows on the ground.
