“St. Nicholas” is a bishop in pale vestments with a red Gospel book. The most recognisable image in the series.

What the picture shows

The saint is shown to the waist, with a white beard and a high forehead. The phelonion is worked in white and silver-blue beads with gold bands running vertically. A red omophorion with a gold cross pattern lies on his chest to the right, and a green band of the undergarment shows on the left. His right hand is raised in blessing. The halo is a wide ring of amber and gold beads and the ground is golden rays. The beading takes the vestments, the halo and the plaque frame, while the face and the hand remain printed, and the radiance stays print as well.
