Description

“St. Miron” is a mini icon of the bishop: a grey-haired hierarch in a sand-coloured phelonion with a Gospel. Upright format, 100×150 mm; the most economical kit in the batch at about 1,920 beads.

What the picture shows

The saint is shown elderly, with a high forehead and a very long white beard falling below his chest. His phelonion is a sandy beige set in three close shades, which makes the cloth look soft and almost plain. Over it lies a white and pale blue omophorion marked with dark crosses. His right hand is folded in blessing, his left holds a Gospel in a red binding set with green stones. The halo is gathered from amber and dark brown rings, and the rays behind stay as print on the art canvas. A three-line cartouche runs below.
