“St. Galina” is a martyr in a white-and-blue veil, in red robes with a green underdress. A clean three-colour scheme.

What the picture shows

The saint is shown to the waist, her head slightly bowed. The veil is worked in white and blue beads in even rows and frames her face closely. The outer robe is red, falling from her shoulders in wide folds, with a green underdress showing on the left. Her right hand is raised to her chest. The halo is a ring of amber beads and the ground is golden rays. A gold border runs along the whole edge, and the lower part of the image is taken up by a name plaque between two ornaments. The clothing, the halo and the border are beaded; the face, the hand and the golden rays stay printed on the canvas.
