Description

“St. Emily” is a mini icon of the martyr in a red cloak with a pearl cross in her hand. An upright image of 100×150 mm for a home icon corner or as a name-day gift.

What the picture shows

The saint is shown facing forward, her dark hair falling over her shoulders. A low diadem of red and white beads sits on her head, with strands of pearls running from it across her shoulders. The cloak is a dense red laid in even rows, and a green robe with small red flecks shows beneath. In her right hand she holds a pale pearl cross, her left is raised palm forward. The halo is gathered from amber rings, and the golden rays behind stay as print on the art canvas, showing between the rows of stitching. A three-line cartouche and corner rosettes sit below.
