“St. Elizabeth” is a saint in blue-grey monastic dress with a white wimple. The coolest palette in the batch.

What the picture shows

The saint is shown to the waist, her head slightly bowed. A white wimple worked in pale beads frames her face, and a long blue-violet veil lies over it, falling across her shoulders and chest in wide folds. A dark cross on a cord hangs at her chest, and her right hand holds a prayer rope. The halo is a ring of amber beads and the ground is golden rays. A pale name plaque closes the composition at the bottom between two ornamental squares, and a narrow gold border runs round the edge. The clothing, the halo and the border are beaded; the face, the hands and the golden rays stay printed on the canvas.
