Mini Icon Bead Embroidery Kit on Art Canvas "St. Basil"

“St. Basil” is a bishop in dark patterned vestments with a blue Gospel book. The darkest vestment among the bishops in this batch.

What the picture shows

The saint is shown to the waist, with a long dark beard and a severe gaze. The phelonion is worked in black and gold beads in a fine chequered pattern, and a pale omophorion with dark crosses trimmed in blue beads lies over it. His right hand is raised in blessing, his left holds a blue Gospel book with a red edge. The halo is a ring of amber beads and the ground is golden rays. A gold border with square rosettes at the corners runs along the edge of the canvas, and a plaque with the saint's name lies at the bottom. The vestments, the ring of the halo and the border are beaded; the face, the hands and the gold ground are left to the print.
