Description

“St. Angelina” is a saint in green-and-violet monastic dress with a pearl headdress. The richest female palette in the batch — thirteen colours.

What the picture shows

The saint stands frontally, her head slightly bowed. The headdress is green, trimmed with rows of white pearl beads that fall onto her shoulders. The outer garment is violet, with a dark green band edged in gold beneath. Both hands are folded before her chest. The halo is a ring of amber beads and the ground is golden rays with red dots at the top. A gold border with square rosettes at the corners runs along the edge of the canvas, and a plaque with the saint's name lies at the bottom. Beads cover the clothing, the headdress, the halo and the border, the face and hands stay printed, and gold print shows between the bead rows on the ground.
