Description

“St. Alla” is a martyr with a dark cross and an open palm. A white veil, red robes, a green underdress.

What the picture shows

The saint stands frontally, her gaze level. The veil is worked in white pearl beads that frame her face closely and fall onto her shoulders. The outer robe is red, with a green band of the undergarment showing beneath. Her right hand, raised to her chest, holds a dark cross with even arms; her left palm is turned outward. The halo is amber and the ground is golden rays. The canvas is edged with a narrow gold band with red accents at the corners; a rectangular name plaque takes up the lower part. The robe, the ring of the halo and the border are beaded; the face, the palms and the gold ground are left to the print.
