Mini Bead Embroidery Magnet Kit "Owl – 4"

“Owl – 4” is an owl in a red and white ear-flap hat sitting under falling snow.

What the picture shows

The bird is dressed warmly: a red hat with a white pearl band, ear flaps at the sides and a red scarf. Its breast is densely filled with white pearl beads, and the same beads form the snowflakes scattered over the blue ground. Red beads make up the hat, the scarf and two flowers on the branch below. The eyes are large and orange, with little white flowers in place of lashes. The background is a deep winter blue, left as print, which holds the pale beads well. 159 beads in two colours. The background is not stitched: it is printed on the canvas and shows between the beads, so the picture is built on the play of print against raised beadwork. The piece is small and easy to carry along or save for an evening when you want to make something by hand.
