Description

“New Year coming” is a black cat in a red cap sitting beside a sled full of presents.

What the picture shows

The cat sits side-on with its tail stretched along the snow and yellow eyes looking straight at you. On its head is a red cap with a wide white pearl trim and a white pompom. Red beads cover the cap, the presents on the yellow sled and two flowers below; white beads cover the trim, the band of snow under the cat and the large snowflakes scattered over the pale blue ground. The sled and its wooden runners stay as print. 137 beads in two colours. The beads do not cover the canvas completely: the printed image around them stays open, and every shade missing from the beads is given by the print itself. On a 50×50 mm square every bead shows, so it helps to lay the stitches in an even row facing one way.
