Description

“Water lily” is a pink lily opening among round pads on the water.

What the picture shows

The flower takes the centre: pointed petals worked in pink, lilac and white beads spread out in several rows, with a dense orange tuft of stamens at the heart. Round pads lie on the dark water around it, beaded in green and emerald, with thin stems and small bubbles showing between them. The dark green water stays as printing on the canvas, so the flower looks lit from within. The pads are beaded in circles from the middle outward, and each has the thin dark notch of a real lily pad. The bubbles near the stems are single pale beads — easy to miss, but they are what brings the water to life.
