Description

“Autumn aroma” is a dry autumn bunch set straight into a teacup.

What the picture shows

On a mint-grey ground stands a white cup with an orange band around it, on a saucer with the same trim. Dry stems rise from the cup in a fan: elongated brown and ochre leaves, ears of grain, dark red berries and a few thin twigs. The table below is terracotta. The beads cover the cup, the saucer and the whole bunch, while the ground with its fine spatter and the shadow under the saucer stay printed. The leaves are turned differently — some shown flat, some edge on — so the bunch never looks flat itself. The ears of grain are beaded a single bead wide, so they stay finer than the leaves and do not compete with them.
