Description

“Unforgettable evening” puts a couple on a bridge over water, with a large red heart hanging in a golden sky above them.

What the picture shows

Two figures stand at the middle of the bridge, leaning on the rail; rays of yellow and gold beads spread from the heart overhead. Trees with dark trunks and round crowns dotted with red stand on either side. Below, the water reflects the sunset, from deep wine to ochre. The palette holds to eight colours: red, cherry, several shades of yellow and gold, dark brown. Sky and far bank stay as print on the canvas, while beads carry the heart, the trees, the bridge, the figures and the ripples. The rays from the heart are long rows of beads fanning outwards, while the tree crowns are built from small red dots over dark ground. The bridge rail is marked by a single row of pale beads.
