Description

TOYOTA is three interlocking ovals with the marque name underneath. The composition is simple, almost graphic.

What the picture shows

The large horizontal oval and the two vertical ones inside are worked in pearl and white beads with a dark outline of black and steel, which gives the mark volume and a soft gleam. The rows follow the contour, so light flows smoothly across the badge. The word TOYOTA below is set in large letters from the same beads. The night city, the lit windows and the road with its centre line stay as blue print on the canvas, unbeaded. The four colours work as light and shade: pearl and white hold the ovals, black and steel give them their shadow and edge.
