Description

“The color of life” is a tree of life in a circle, with a many-coloured crown and roots.

What the picture shows

The composition is set into a circle. The trunk comes out of the middle and branches into fine limbs above, and into roots below that close the lower arc. Leaves and fruit are scattered along the branches: blue, red, orange, green and lilac beads of different sizes, like berries. The trunk and branches are worked in warm brown beads, gold in places. The dark grey ground inside the circle stays printed, and the drawn net of branches shows through it without being repeated in beads. The fruit on the branches vary in size, with the largest closer to the centre of the crown, which makes the tree look heavier at the top. The roots below are beaded in thinner lines than the branches above, so the circle does not read as a mirror image.
