Description

Teatime shows a round teapot among flowers with a large painted sign above it.

What the picture shows

The teapot is outlined in red — the spout, the handle, the lid and the band around the base; round flowers with yellow and pink centres are beaded on its side, and small black dots are scattered over the whole body. The leaves around it are laid out in green beads several rows wide, the flowers above and below in yellow, white, lilac and red with contrasting centres. The border is built from three tracks: a black-and-white chequer, a white row and a pale blue scallop. The letters of the sign stay printed on the canvas and the beads do not cover them. Eleven colours make a cheerful, almost postcard-like picture. The two large flowers above the sign are worked in yellow and red with white centres, and the leaves beside them in dark green.
