Description

Sweet Peppers shows a red, a green and a yellow pepper together, the yellow one cut open to reveal the seeds.

What the picture shows

The green pepper is worked in vertical rows of two shades of green that follow its ribs and give it volume. The red one is outlined in red and burgundy with orange highlights, the yellow one in yellow and gold, with white beads scattered as seeds across the cut. The stalks are laid out in green and dark brown, the leaves above in green with burgundy veins, and the small white flower over them in fine white and yellow beads. The ochre background with its shadows stays printed on the canvas. A beaded border of dark brown, cream and beige stripes runs around the picture. Eleven colours in a natural vegetable range. The seeds on the cut are scattered white beads.
