What the picture shows

The skirt is worked in pink and pearl beads radiating from the waist, the collar and sleeves are edged in pale pink, and the cap is topped with a yellow star. The four lanterns on either side are outlined in white with yellow and orange flames inside. White snowflake-shaped rosettes and small gold stars are scattered over the deep blue sky, and the crescent moon is beaded in yellow and orange. The rope and the rails are run as even lines of pale beads. The face, the hair and the chalk-drawn houses below stay as print on the canvas. Nine colours cover the pink dress in several tones, the yellow flames in the lanterns and the white and gold stars scattered across the sky.
