Mini Bead Embroidery Kit on Art Canvas "Spring for birds"

“Spring for birds” is done in a naive, folk-illustration spirit: one large decorative bird, a birdhouse and a scatter of flowers in clean, bright colour.

What the picture shows

The bird in the centre is lilac and blue, with a white beaded belly, a yellow beak and a small flower on its head, perched on a branch of red leaves and yellow curls. To the right an orange and violet birdhouse hangs from a bough. Blue, yellow and lilac flowers with green leaves fill the lower corners, and a branch of pink petals runs along the top. The pastel watercolour ground — sky blue with pink and yellow washes — stays printed; the beads cover the bird, the birdhouse, the flowers and the dotted lines that frame the scene. The fine white beads on the bird's belly are packed tightly, so that patch shines brightest of all. The corner flowers are built from several layers of petals in different colours, and each layer is stitched as its own row.
