Description

“Snowiness” is a snow globe in which a cat and a mouse greet the winter.

What the picture shows

The globe stands on a burgundy base with a bow, worked in red and dark red beads following the ornament. Inside, against a turquoise ground, sits a white cat in a pale blue scarf with a stick in its paw, beside a mouse in a red dress with a little bag; thin bare saplings and white flecks of snow stand behind them. The glass of the globe is edged with a row of pale blue beads. Above, Let it Snow is laid out in turquoise and blue next to a small orange sign. Large snowflakes — pale blue, white and silver — are scattered across the white field around it, each one beaded separately. The globe is outlined rather than filled, so the printed winter scene shows through it — and that is what makes it read as glass.
