Mini Bead Embroidery Kit on Art Canvas "Sleepy-head"

“Sleepy-head” is a bear in striped pyjamas and a nightcap settling down to sleep.

What the picture shows

The ground is deep blue-turquoise, and angular outlines are traced on it in yellow and white beads, reading like scattered pillows. The bear sits in the middle: cap and pyjamas are worked in pale blue and white stripes, and below is a quilt in the same colours with a white edging. To the right stands a bedside table with a yellow beaded lampshade and an alarm clock, its white face set in a pale blue rim. A smaller bear lies to the left, and slippers with bunny faces wait in front of the bed. The rug is outlined with a red and gold string of beads. The stripes on the pyjamas and quilt are beaded in rows over the printed pattern, so the texture of the fabric comes through. The lampshade glows yellow and gold and is the warmest patch in the piece. The clock face is white, with hands of dark beads. The outlines on the ground are not filled: the blue canvas between them stays open.
