Mini Bead Embroidery Kit on Art Canvas "Shell"

“Shell” is an open shell with a pearl inside, worked in blue and violet beads.

What the picture shows

The shell lies diagonally across the whole circle: the upper valve is raised, the lower one opens towards the viewer. Both shade from deep blue at the edges to violet and lilac in the middle, and a brighter blue line runs along the outer rim, tracing the wavy edge. In the centre sits a pearl of white and cream beads with a warm golden-sand rim — the only light patch in the piece. The background, pale blue canvas with faint water-like swirls, stays printed and is never filled with beads. Inside the valves the beads lie in arcs that follow the shape of the shell, which is what makes the colour shifts look smooth. The pearl is beaded in a circle from the centre, with the lightest beads in the middle. Around the shell there are no beads at all — the water stays a light watercolour print.
