Description

“Romantic trip” sends a couple on a bicycle through the night sky above a city of domes and tiled roofs.

What the picture shows

At the top right the two ride straight through the air; the girl holds a red bouquet and a trail of red hearts follows them. A round moon of white beads glows on the left, surrounded by blue scrolls of cloud and white star-flakes. Below, houses with red roofs and yellow windows crowd together, and a great cathedral with a dome and a cross rises among them. The deep blue sky and the distant skyline stay as print on the canvas: beads carry the roofs, the dome, the moon, the stars, the hearts and the riders themselves. The roofs are beaded in rows of red across the slope, the windows as yellow and orange squares that glow against the dark. The moon is laid as a spiral of white beads.
