Description

Ripe strawberry shows two large berries and two small ones among the leaves, with a white strawberry flower opening beside them.

What the picture shows

The berries are outlined in pink, crimson and red beads, and their seeds are scattered yellow and white beads. The stalks and tendrils are fine dark green lines that wind across the whole composition. The leaves are outlined in green and lime, with the veins left printed. The flower is made of white petals with a yellow centre. The warm ochre ground is not filled in, and the berries look juicier against it. A border of brown, beige and cream beads with fans in the corners runs around the picture. Eleven colours hold a simple red-and-green contrast. The two smaller berries below are worked like the big ones, only with a finer pattern of seeds.
