Description

“Red fox” is a fox cub sitting inside a heart of autumn branches and leaves.

What the picture shows

The ground is an even olive green. In the centre sits a red fox cub with a white chest, pointed dark-rimmed ears and a bushy tail curling round to one side; the face is smiling, the nose and eyes dark. Around the animal, branches, red leaves, berries and small flowers make up the outline of a heart. The beads cover the fox, the leaves, the berries and the branches, while the green ground inside the heart stays as printing on the canvas. The fur is worked in short rows following its direction, so the tail looks fluffier than the back. The berries in the outline of the heart use larger beads than the flowers, so the shape reads even from a distance. The tail overlaps part of the branches, which places the cub inside the wreath rather than on top of it.
