Description

Poppies bunch shows a baby monkey standing in tall grass with an armful of red poppies, a dragonfly and a butterfly flying above.

What the picture shows

The poppies are worked in red and deep burgundy beads with black and gold centres, and the yellow blossoms beside them are outlined bead by bead around every floret. The stems and long leaves are green rows that run across the whole lower half. The monkey’s coat is marked with short dashes of brown and amber along the back, the arms and around the face. The dragonfly above is white and pale blue, the butterfly on the right red and white. Daisies and small flowers in white, pale blue and yellow are scattered through the grass. The clouded sky and the face itself stay printed on the canvas. Ten colours, half of them greens and reds.
