Description

PEUGEOT gives the rearing heraldic lion the centre of the canvas, with the marque name beaded across the bottom.

What the picture shows

The lion is worked in white and pearl beads and outlined throughout in black, from mane to tail tip, so the silhouette reads clearly even from across the room. Inside, the rows follow the shape of the legs, back and tail, and the mark shimmers slightly in the light. PEUGEOT is spelled out along the bottom in fine silver beads. The background of blue towers, a burst of light and a blurred road stays as print: only the lion and the lettering are beaded. Four colours cover the whole figure: the lion is pale and it is the black outline that holds it, and that is what makes the silhouette read.
