Description

Owl and cookies shows a fluffy grey owlet with big orange eyes hugging a paper bag, against a busy patterned background.

What the picture shows

The eyes are dense rings of orange, yellow and copper beads with a black rim — the whole piece rests on them. The feathers around the head are short white, grey and pale blue stitches sticking out in all directions, and the black speckles on the chest are single beads. The feet are outlined in brown and beige, the paper bag picked out with light rows along its edge. The colourful background of flowers, circles and checks stays printed: the beads go only on a few rosettes and on the owlet itself, so the pattern does not compete with the bird. Twelve colours are spent mostly on the eyes and the plumage. The little beak is marked in pink beads.
