Description

Muse shows an owl with large sad eyes on a branch, holding the string of an orange balloon.

What the picture shows

The eyes are worked in white, blue and green beads with black lashes along the edge, giving the bird an attentive, slightly puzzled look. The chest is filled with vertical rows of green, blue and turquoise, carrying a heart of pink and red beads with a small golden cross inside. The balloon is outlined in orange and red, its string a single continuous row. On the left there are black twigs with white flowers and a tiny fledgling, and the feet are marked in white beads. The green-turquoise background with its butterflies stays printed on the canvas; the beads add density only in the centre. Ten colours are held together by the cool green range with the warm balloon as accent. The branch under her feet is outlined in dark beads.
