“Moon melody” seats a pianist at a white grand piano in the open air, with a girl swinging on the moon above him.

What the picture shows

The musician, in a green sweater, sits on a red stool with his hands on the keys; the piano is laid in white beads with a black lid and a golden soundboard. A small town crowds behind him — houses with violet, red and blue roofs, round trees hung with berries and hearts, a green lawn. The girl in pink rocks on a white crescent, a jug in her hands. The blue ground, the paving and parts of the walls stay as print on the canvas; beads carry the piano, the figures, the roofs, the trees and the railing. The piano is beaded in white along the outline of the body and in a solid row across the keyboard, with the black keys marked as single beads. Each roof is filled in its own colour, and no two colours sit side by side.
