Mercedes-Benz gives the three-pointed star in its circle, with the full marque name below. The badge is large, symmetrical and calm.

What the picture shows

The ring is a double row of black and silver beads, while the three points of the star are pale pearl with a dark shadow down one side of each arm, so the star looks faceted. The rows run outward from the centre and reinforce the shape. The Mercedes-Benz lettering below is worked in fine pale beads. The blue night city with its towers, lit windows and receding road stays as print — the beads work on the badge alone. The four colours are laid out simply: pearl and white on the points, black and steel on the ring and the shadows between the facets. The lettering below is the finest part of the work: a few beads per letter.
