Description

LEXUS is the stylised L inside an oval, with the marque name below. The badge sits at an angle, which gives the composition its motion.

What the picture shows

The oval is built from three rows — black, steel and white — while the letter inside is worked in pearl beads with a dark outline, leaving a clear blue gap of printed background between the two. The rows follow the curve of the mark and stress its tilt. The word LEXUS below is spelled out in widely spaced pale letters. The towers, the lit windows and the receding road stay as print on the canvas. The four colours are placed so that a clean strip of printed blue stays between the letter and the rim — without it the badge would lose its shape.
