Description

“Kitty in a scarf” shows a white cat in a green hat and red scarf inside a winter wreath.

What the picture shows

The cat sits in the centre: its outline and coat worked in white and pearl beads, its ears pink, its hat green with white trim, its scarf red with fringes. The wreath around it is built from green and emerald leaves, red poinsettias, pink flowers and small white blossom. A white ribbon across the top carries the printed words “Happy Holidays”. The mint-green ground stays printed: on art canvas the beads are not solid, so they hold the cat, the wreath and the ribbon while the print carries the background. The wreath is beaded leaf by leaf, each in two or three rows, while the poinsettias are worked from the centre out to the tips of the petals. The cat goes faster: white beads follow the outline and the pale print is left inside.
