Description

Hospitality shows a rooster standing on a kitchen table among crockery, sunflowers and a plate of pastries, like a host greeting his guests.

What the picture shows

The tail is worked in black and grey beads in long arcs, the neck in rows of orange, yellow and white, the comb and wattles in red. The chest is marked with red dashes over the printed feathers. The sunflowers on the left are laid out in yellow and gold with green and brown centres. The blue-and-white bowl and the jar are outlined in pale blue, white and yellow, and the little flowers on them are beaded separately. The pastries on the plate are picked out in beige and gold beads, the rim of the plate in red. A green border runs around the picture, and outside it a wide band of red squares with folk motifs. The wheat ears, the chicks and the wooden table stay printed. Fourteen colours — the richest palette among these miniatures.
