Description

“Horizon” shows a pale house with a tower above the sea, with a road, flowers and a vintage car by the gate below.

What the picture shows

The building stands to the left — cream walls, violet tiled roofs, a round tower with a lilac spire, dark cypresses beside it. A sandy path runs down from it to the shore, with pink and violet hollyhocks and roses flowering along a white fence. To the right the blue sea opens out with white sailing boats, and cumulus clouds and gulls fill the sky. A violet vintage car is parked by the gate. Sky, clouds and the far sea stay as print on the canvas; beads carry the house, the flowers, the fence, the car and the white crests of the waves. The roofs are beaded in rows of violet along the slope, the walls in pale beads along the outlines, and the hollyhocks built from small blooms of three or four beads. The sailing boats are marked as white triangles on the printed sea.
