Description

“Hearts connection” joins two cliffs with a bridge whose arch, together with its reflection, forms a heart.

What the picture shows

The cliffs are laid in red, amber and brown beads, with red towers and yellow windows on top. A couple with a small dog stands at the middle of the bridge, beside a little tree with a red heart-shaped crown. A pink and yellow sunset glows through the arch, and a turquoise sea with white foam moves below. Sky, distant hills and part of the water stay as print on the canvas; beads carry the cliffs, the towers, the bridge, the tree and the waves, which gives the work its relief. The cliffs are densely filled, in rows of beads that follow the cracks, so the rock reads as textured. The sea below is laid in horizontal rows of turquoise with white crests, and it is what gives the picture its cool accent.
