“Happy Easter” shows hanging egg ornaments on golden chains of beads.

What the picture shows

The eggs hang at different heights: one covered in golden beads, one painted with pink roses, two more in pastel stripes of pink, mint and white, and one with a wreath of flowers across the middle. Small hearts and drops sway between them. Every chain and outline is worked in gold and bronze beads, so the piece looks almost like jewellery even though it uses only seven bead colours. The cream ground with its faint printed flowers and the handwritten “Happy Easter!” at the bottom stay printed: on art canvas the beads are not solid. The chains are beaded as long even lines from top to bottom — the quick part of the work. The eggs are harder: the roses and wreaths are built from small beads that have to sit tightly or the pattern falls apart.
