Description

Garden cockerel shows a speckled rooster strolling through a vegetable garden among flowers, a watering can, a basket of vegetables and a hose.

What the picture shows

The tail is worked in white and grey arcs, the neck in orange, yellow and red rows, the comb and wattles in red beads. The wing is laid out in amber and brown over the printed feathers. The pink watering can is outlined in pink and white, the black hose coiled from black beads, the basket picked out in beige rows. The flowers on both sides are rosettes of lilac, pink and red beads with green leaves. The wide border is beaded as a chequer of red, yellow, blue and white, while the outer band with butterflies stays printed. The birdhouse, the sunflowers and the vegetables in the beds are painted as well. Fourteen colours give a busy, high-summer look. The small red berries on the left are single beads.
