Description

“Funny chickens” shows three yellow chicks among Easter eggs, in a warm and childlike drawing.

What the picture shows

Two of the chicks sit in a white bowl with a lace rim while the third peers in from the side; their down is laid in several shades of yellow bead, their beaks and feet in orange. Painted eggs lie beside them — a blue one with flowers, a pink one with spots. A strip of four squares runs along the bottom: a pink flower, a blue butterfly, a pink tulip and a heart; green and lilac beaded borders edge the top and the left. The lilac ground itself stays as print and is not beaded. The chicks' down is worked in short rows laid in different directions, so it looks ruffled. The lace on the bowl is marked with pale beads along the rim, and the eggs are filled with a fine pattern following the print.
