Description

“Favourite bear” is a small child in a lilac dress hugging a teddy bear tight.

What the picture shows

The girl’s face with its large blue eyes stays printed, while everything around it is beaded: the lilac-pink dress with its fine pattern, the pink bow in her hair, the white and pink strings along the collar. The bear is brown, in a pale blue beaded bonnet, with gold specks across its fur. Red hearts float above them — three large ones beaded densely and several smaller; some hearts are left printed, and the difference between the two is easy to see. A grey-blue band of floor in rows of beads runs below, with a pink dummy lying beside it. The dress is the most densely beaded part: small lilac beads run in rows across the whole fabric, with a white frill along the edge. The bear’s bonnet is worked in two tones of pale blue. The hearts differ in size, and the largest of them sits right above the girl’s head. The band of floor below is laid in long rows and closes off the lower edge of the piece.
