Description

“Easter snowdrop” is an egg made of small blue flowers on a checked ground.

What the picture shows

The ground is a blue check, like a kitchen towel. In the centre an oval in the shape of an Easter egg is laid out from small flowers: blue and azure five-petal blooms with yellow centres, narrow green leaves between them and a few white buds. The flowers lie loosely and the ground shows through, so the silhouette of the egg is held by the scatter alone. A fine handwritten line runs below the oval. The beads cover the flowers and the leaves; the check and the lettering stay as printing on the canvas. Towards the edges of the oval the flowers grow smaller, which makes the shape read as round rather than outlined.
