What the picture shows

The monkey’s coat is worked in short dashes of brown and amber beads that follow the printed strands and give the fur its texture. The cap is blue with a yellow pompom, the rim of the drum blue and white, and the stick in the paw marked with a few beads. The fir branches above are green stitches, the baubles on them blue and yellow, the little stars red and gold. The presents below are outlined in blue, green and red with beaded bows. The snowflakes on the pale blue background are white and silver rosettes. The monkey’s face and the background itself stay as full-colour print on the canvas. Ten colours carry the festive mood.
