Description

“Autumn mood” is a corner of a courtyard with a lantern and a white table under a shower of orange leaves.

What the picture shows

On the right stands a wall with an arched barred window, behind which yellow and orange foliage glows; on the left and above, the crown of a tree is built from small dabs of beading, from amber and red to pink and violet. A wrought-iron lantern with a yellow flame hangs in the middle. Below stand a white garden table and a chair with a curved back, worked in pearl beads, with a pot of orange-yellow flowers on the tabletop. The cobbles and the shaded depth of the yard are left as painted printing; the beads take only the leaves, the lantern, the furniture and the flowers. The foliage is worked in small clusters of three or four beads, so the crown looks alive rather than flat.
