“An inspired morning” is red poppies in a floral cup on a pale ground.

What the picture shows

The cup stands on its saucer slightly to one side: white china with a small floral pattern and a silvery handle. Poppies rise from it — three open blooms with red petals, dark centres and black stamens, and beside them two tight buds on thin stems. A single petal lies below by the saucer. The ground is pale with soft pink and yellow patches; it stays printed, while the beads cover the flowers, the cup and the saucer. The petals are beaded in rows from the edge to the centre, so their natural fold shows. The pattern on the china is marked with small beads in two colours, so the cup does not look empty beside the saturated poppies.
