“Alice” is a fairy girl with a bouquet walking across a green slope above a small town.

What the picture shows

The figure stands in the centre: long fair hair with a beaded flower in it, and rounded silver-white wings of pearl beads behind her back. The dress is lilac-pink — bodice and sleeves laid in dense rows of beads, the skirt outlined with a white string along the hem and wavy lines across the fabric. She carries a bouquet of raspberry and green beads. Her stockings are trimmed with white flowers and her shoes are pink. Below lies a town of half-timbered houses, their roofs and windows picked out in beads too, while the green slope, the sky and the clouds stay printed. The wings are worked in pearl beads laid in a curve, so they catch the light noticeably. The skirt is beaded loosely: printed fabric with a fine pattern is left between the wavy lines of beads. The little houses below are small, a few beads each — they do not compete with the figure but keep the depth of the scene.
