Description

ADR Bergmeister shows a pale blue vintage car against Big Ben and Westminster. London is only lightly sketched; the car is worked out in detail.

What the picture shows

The body is worked in light blue with silver stripes along the bonnet and sill; the wings and folded roof are black; the tall radiator grille is built from rows of silver beads with the letters ADR set into it. The headlamps and hub caps are white rosettes and the bumper is one continuous silver row. The clock tower, the parliament building and the pale sky stay as brownish-grey print on the canvas — no beads go there, and the background does its job as background. Five colours cover everything: two blues, black, silver and white make up the body, the radiator grille and the lettering set into it.
