Description

“A magical dream” is a large stylised flower with a blue spiral at its heart.

What the picture shows

The flower fills almost the whole field: wide petals worked in orange, ochre and gold beads, and a centre wound into a spiral of blue, turquoise and white. Green leaves with wavy edges reach out below. The ground is turquoise, threaded with fine beaded scrolls and scattered with small flowers and dots. The printed ground stays visible between the elements, which keeps the piece light despite the saturated colour. The spiral is beaded from the centre outward, each turn a little wider than the last. The scrolls on the ground are beaded one bead at a time and are deliberately finer than the petals so as not to compete with the flower. The small blossoms around are five beads each.
