Description

“Under the star of happiness” shows a bear outlined in gold among flowers, planets and snowflakes.

What the picture shows

The bear walks from left to right across the middle of the picture: its silhouette is drawn with a solid row of golden beads, while the figure inside is filled with clear and silvery rosettes that lie over the dark print and glimmer like frost. Small motifs are scattered over the whole ground: pink, orange and lilac flowers, white and pale blue snowflakes, green and violet seed pods, turquoise sprigs with berries, a yellow ringed planet at the bottom right and several comets with tails. The dark grey printed background, with its faint stars and planets, stays unbeaded.
