Description

“Time to Celebrate” is a snow-covered bakery with a wreath on the door and fir trees on either side.

What the picture shows

The little house faces the viewer squarely: brick-brown walls, a roof under a cap of white snow, a chimney. In the centre is a door with a large green wreath and a red bow; to the right a shop window under a red-and-white striped awning, with pastries behind the glass. A garland of greenery and red berries runs along the facade, two decorated trees stand on either side, and drifts and a few presents lie below. The white ground and the snow stay largely printed; the beads cover the facade, the wreath, the trees and the garlands, and sequins light up the ornaments on the branches. The upstairs windows stay dark, which makes the light on the ground floor look warmer.
